Welcome to Tashkeela: Why We Built a Football Quiz About Shape

Tashkeela is out. After months of work, we're glad to finally hand it over to you.

We're 249apps. We make small, opinionated apps for football fans who want more than another trivia quiz. Tashkeela is our first football game, and we built it around one idea: the shape of a team tells you who they are.

The problem with football trivia

Open any football quiz on the App Store. You'll be asked who scored in the 78th minute of a final you forgot existed. We love that stuff in moderation. But it isn't how real fans talk about the game.

What you hear at the cafe is different. People talk about Pep's false nine Barcelona. They talk about Sacchi's pressing trap. They draw formations on napkins. That conversation is the one we wanted to put in your pocket.

Why bilingual matters to us

We're Arabic speakers. Most football apps treat Arabic as an afterthought. A hasty translation tacked on years later, often missing half the screens. Tashkeela was Arabic and English on day one. Same content, same quality, same release. Flip the language in settings and the entire app flips right to left, including the formation pitch labels.
